I have been following the tragedy of Ballston Beach, on the Atlantic ocean side of Truro, MA, for 25 years now.  The earliest photos in this album hint at the presence of a fine dune behind the public beach there, but since the Perfect Storm of 1991 the ocean has been beating the dune apart and relocating its sand into the marsh behind it, as well as into the beach in front.  The album charts this destruction of the dune as well as of the historic buildings near it.
